Charlie & Co. was provided Heart Beat Juice for a review by Birds of Prey PR.

From the 'Sunraysia Natural Beverage Company', famous for their Prune and Cranberry Juice, comes 'Heart Beet' Beetroot & Apple Juice, which we recently we had the chance to trial.

Beetroot is of exceptional nutritional value; especially the greens (top, long petioled dark leaves of beetroot plant), which are rich in calcium, iron and vitamins A and C. Beetroots are an excellent source of folic acid and a very good source of fibre, manganese and potassium. Or in summary low in fat, full of vitamins and minerals and packed with powerful antioxidants. Sunraysia has captured this nutrition dense vegetable (which does taste nice) in a bottle, for your convenience.

With a lot of pre-packed juices, in particular fruit juice oh and flavoured milk too, there's concerns with high amounts of sugar. In Heart Beet there's 6.7g per 100ml which is considered ok, still on the chart according to the Live Lighter Campaign (a collab of the Cancer Council, Heart Foundation and others). Less than 120mg of sodium in drinks is good, and Heart Beet sits at 41mg which is the lowest I've seen in any packaged food/drink I've looked up since introduced to the campaign last year. You can find Heart Beet's Nutritional Info here.

I didn't know what to expect in terms of taste, because I have never had beetroot juice before. I suspected that it doesn't taste great, being a vegetable. But with apple it was actually nice, pretty good actually, obviously it isn't as sweet as apple juice, but for a vegetable juice it's pretty good - and it's not green!

Half a cup of orange juice gives you a serving of  fruit, and so beetroot juice would do the same too, though a serve of  veggies 1 out of the recommended five.

Yay I can comment properly now! Woohoo! :P

I love beetroot but generally only have it in food not juice. Keen to try what this tastes like.
