Thursday 15th June

Meetings then onto errands and lunch at Juno and May. There's a bar! This place goes from brunch to dinner! Located on main street it's easy to get to and I see it being a popular weekend spot.

With an extensive menu from brunch to dinner, there's plenty to choose from.

So many different seating areas! From tables to booths.

Sweet potato chorizo and gouda fritters w avocado,

two poached eggs, romesco sauce $19

Delicious and filling, it's the chorizo that takes it that next level up. The potato isn't actually sweet and works well with the cheesy texture  and saltiness/spices of the chorizo. Only one special element, I feel like it needs more than that, perhaps a tomato relish?

It's a very long restaurant. Longer than the wait? I think not.

Service was friendly but so slooow! Took forever as there were a couple people and only one guy on. And this was for a week day lunch.

Thursday 27th July

Housemade Dumplings (4) $9

Chicken and shiitake mushroom, ginger, garlic, kaffir lime, chilli and crushed peanuts

Dumplings. They were good. Nothing particularly amazing though.
An odd place to go for dumplings I know but it was just a snack.

Service was faster this time.

Attempts to be brunchy and trendy, but falls short of amazing. Needs that special something to take it to the next level. With so many brunch spots in town you need to be amazing to stand out.
