Thursday 19th Oct

As we're a regular in Glenferrie, the next main town over from the house, we have a couple favourites though still like to try new places now and then. Today needing a good coffee we checked out 'Viet Star' the only Vietnamese place in town.

A lovely day say us seated outside, especially on the rare occasion that there are no smokers - they've ruinned going outside.

White Vietnamese Iced Coffee $4.50

With condense milk it's the perfect balance for my kinda coffee as a sugar addict and not as bitter as regular coffee. I haven't been this awake in days!

While I showed this before the main, it actually came after.

Spring Rolls with Vermicelli $12.50 ($11 Takeaway)

Accompanied with a fish sauce it was pretty good. 80% vermicelli though,
needs more salad and peanuts. They don't have my prefer fine vermicelli here.

Inside it was very humid with just a fan. But they have air con at the back.

Tables need to be wiped in between each customer - they're not...

Service was lukewarm, a hint of friendly, but they weren't hostile and act like I was a nuisance (yes I've had that before at other places, asian places in particular, but also our local french bakery).

Will we be back? No, well maybe for coffee only.
