Re-watching a classic, a classical musical and one of the the most well-known and loved, le beau's favourite musical, Singin' in the Rain with Gene Kelly. Le beau loves Hollywood, not as it is now, but old Hollywood, all the Classics, Gene Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Bing Crosby and Sinatra. Black and white films with glamorous costumes, often with big feathers, set in the 20s-40s.

I love the costumes, the theatricality, the characters, we love it all! 'Make 'em laugh' with Cosmo was also a stand out. All the choreography, footwork, music and performances were just amazing!

My favourites numbers were 'Good Mornin'' and of course the musical title. But I also love the scene where Don takes Kathy onto the set and sets a scene of a girl on her balcony in the moonlight with a breeze, as he tells her he likes her.

That dress.... and hair! MA is on my list to cosplay, amazing big hair and a huge fancy dress! I love princess-cy cosplays, also big hair. I love big hair! It's very expensive to get styled though considering how much fake hair is required.

Lina is beautiful, but so is Kathy just not in your conventional hot blonde style. I do like the ending, though I really hope Lina's voice is not that annoying and high pitched irl.

I don't think that's the same dress, just a similar one at an exhibition.

Check out all those feathers! Lavender, gold and lace is lovely too!

The musical is coming to Melbourne soon!

Though the film was made in the 50s, 2/4 of the main actors live on to their 80s/90s. Sadly Don & Lina died, but the advantage of dying relatively young is that's how you'll be remembered. Immortalized, forever young. Though perhaps if you die old you'll still be remembered by pictures during the peak of your career like Audrey Hepburn or Brigget Bardot.
