Little Bites - Lava in Balaclava @ Friday, October 13, 2017

Tuesday 22nd August

Lava in Balaclava, what's in a name? Whatever it is we like it! Though the deco wasn't as modern as some of its neighbours. Parking might a be challenge on this main street heading towards St Kilda.

Those Girl's Apple Cider $4.50

There wasn't anything I really wanted so we just went for a snack. The apple cider came from a bottle, not sure it is was a cordial style where you dilute it with hot water or not. But it was good, just as good as when we find them at events.

The Jam & Cheese Croissant $6.50 while the Cheese & Ham is $9! Isn't that crazy? It was good but nothing amazing. Overpriced for something that they don't make themselves.

For $6 you might want to visit Agatha if you're after a great made-in-house croissant. Though in the area check out the Cheese and Jam croissants at Garaage Espresso. They're $4.50 and very good.

Raspberry Cheesecake $7-9-ish?

So lately someone has been eating my food... telling me it's unhealthy and she'll help me be less fat by eating it herself. ffs, girls who try to legitimize why they're eating sometimes food are weird. I have no idea what this tastes like as someone else ate it...

The place wasn't very clean, seats had crumbs on them. Don't they wipe them in between customers? And it was before noon still. Service was very friendly though. But with so many places in the area, they don't have that something that will see us return.

Where do you go for a coffee and croissant?
