MealPal - Lunching at Little Brother @ Monday, November 13, 2017

Monday 25th September

The day started with lunch from Little Brother, on Lt Collins the unexplored west side.

We had two spring rolls, not as crispy as expected, filled with chicken. They were fairly average, it's the cabbage & carrot ones that I hate... which was not this. Perhaps if you had them eat it they'd be better.

The chicken banh mi was average, the bread roll itself wasn't crunchy like at baget or nhu lan and the shape was weird, it was almost cone shaped, bigger top and smaller end.

There was no sauce other than a custardy butter, where a peanut hoisin would have added that special something that this roll otherwise lacked. There was a lot of chicken though, but not enough herbs and veg. Average but plenty of soft tender chicken.

It felt more like fusion than authentic Vietnamese. Service was friendly.

Where do you go for a good and cheap banh mi in the city?

We go to Baget but at $10 it's not as cheap as we prefer.
